The Clearing: a strategy and readiness project
What is Chreia Consulting?
Chreia Consulting is a strategy and operations practice for nonprofits and churches, led by Drew Fain and based in Garland, Texas.
Who is Drew Fain?
Drew Fain is the founder of Chreia Consulting. He served as Co-Executive Director of Dream Center NYC from 2020 to 2022, oversees a bilingual church campus in the Dallas area, and holds an M.A. in Ministerial Leadership from Southeastern University and is working on his PhD there.
What is The Clearing?
The Clearing: a strategy and readiness project is our one engagement: a free exploratory call, a half-day facilitated planning session, followed by a one-page plan (objectives, key results, initiatives) and an operations and funding-readiness checklist.
Who is The Clearing for?
Young or growing nonprofits and churches that need a plan, cleaner operations, or grant readiness.
How much does it cost?
Project fees are fixed and agreed before work begins.
Do you offer ongoing support?
Yes, when it serves you. Each project has a clear scope we agree on together, and many partnerships continue with check-ins or new projects.
Do you write grants for us?
No. The Clearing gets you ready for grants through a funding-readiness checklist, so your team can pursue funding with confidence.
Do you only work with churches?
No. We serve churches and nonprofits equally.
How do we start?
Complete the short intake form, and we'll reply within two business days. The first conversation is free.
What does a thought partner do?
A thought partner listens well, asks honest questions, and helps you see your situation clearly, so you can lead with confidence. That is the heart of how we work.
What does "Chreia" mean?
Chreia (χρεία) is Greek for "need" or "what is necessary." It appears in Acts 6:3, where the early church appointed people to meet a practical need.
